Margaret McDonald – Regional Manager, Queensland North
Drawing on her 25+ years of experience in the human services sector, Margaret helps to ensure people with a physical disability, both inside and outside the Centre, receive the right support and services to live an empowered and equitable life.
Georgia Fowler – Occupational Therapist
As an Occupational Therapist, Georgia can help you source and apply for rehabilitation equipment and assistive technology, including modifications for your home, vehicle or work.
Originally from Melbourne, Georgia moved to Cairns in 2014 and said she can’t see herself leaving this beautiful part of Australia any time soon as she uses her skills and knowledge to help her clients to reach their goals.
Lucy Burke – Occupational Therapist
Lucy brings more than a decade of experience in clinical areas to the Healthy Living Centre, including paediatric care, Indigenous family health and disability services.
Lucy can assist you to find solutions to live an empowered and more comfortable life, working with you to source assistive equipment to suit your everyday lifestyle, regardless of your level of disability.
Elise Reddicliffe – Exercise Physiologist
Born and raised in Cairns, Elise is ready to kickstart your journey towards your personal fitness and rehabilitation goals as the Healthy Living Centre’s resident Exercise Physiologist.
Working with the Active Gym, Active Hydro Pool, and other members of the Allied Health team, Elise is ready to create an exercise and fitness plan for you that is specifically tailored to your individual lifestyle and capabilities.
Julie Ince – Physiotherapist
Julie has worked as a Physiotherapist around the world, including England, North America, Tonga and Sydney before bringing her skills to Cairns.
As a specialist in physiotherapy services for people with physical disabilities, Julie can help you with pain management, strengthening, stretching, wheelchair skills training, neurological rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, planning gym programs and more.
Sarah McVeigh – Client Services Officer
As a Client Support Officer for our Personal Support and Home Care Services, Sarah works with clients and their support workers to ensure a high standard of care.
Sarah assists with organising personal support for visitors of the Healthy Living Centre and in-home services for people with physical disability throughout North Queensland who can use a bit of extra support in their day-to-day lives.
Amber Coppola – Guest Services Officer
When guests arrive at the Healthy Living Centre, Amber is there to warmly welcome them and provide the information they need to make the most of their visit – whether it’s a one-off holiday stay or a weekly appointment.
Amber brings to her role a diverse range of experience at previous hospitality, reception, medical and aged care roles and is ready to help you with your enquiries, while assisting with the day-to-day operations at the Centre.
Tina Newton-Modlmayr – Graduate Physiotherapist
In her role as Graduate Physiotherapist, Tina supports Healthy Living Centre guests in their rehabilitation journey with a range of services, including hydrotherapy and gym programs.
With a background as a nurse and Pilates instructor, Tina has worked in both private practice and aged care and is dedicated to helping people with spinal cord damage reach their rehabilitation goals.
